We’re looking for volunteers to come spend a couple of hours cleaning up our forest school playground in Prospect Park! Be sure to visit our contact form and let us know If this Is something you would like to help out with. It’s a great way to become familiar with the park, the location, and to get excited about spending time outside together! Dates TBD based on interest. Thank you!

Then it’s time to disconnect from media and reconnect with ourselves.
Kings County Forest School has partnered with Liz Neves of Gathering Ground to provide a two-ish hour long nature walk in Prospect Park sans mobile phones and Internet.
The experience includes witnessing the changing foliage, a quiet and mindful walk in the woods learning about native healing and edible plants along the way, brief meditation, sharing, enjoying an herbal beverage, and behaving like children outdoors (without our children*) to release tension and bring some peace back to our lives during this unprecedented time in history.
Children are welcome to join and stay with one caregiver with our Forest School class while the other participates in the walk.
